I had an issue and the way it was handled just didn’t feel fair to me. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t getting the full story or being treated the same as everyone else

"Good idea, but a bit hit and miss"
I’ve used By Rotation a few times and I do really like the concept. It’s such a nice way to share clothes and make better use of things sitting in your wardrobe. That said, the borrower side has been a bit hit and miss for me. One person returned an item late and another was slow to reply, which made the whole thing more stressful than I expected. To be fair, nothing terrible happened and support was okay, so maybe I’ve just been a bit unlucky. But I’m not sure I feel totally comfortable lending out my nicer pieces right now...

Booking was okay. Easy overall. Some parts weren’t super clear though. Had to stop and figure things out. Took longer than I thought. But got it done in the end

I was expecting to see more designers and a wider range of options. For what I needed, the selection felt limited, especially with a lot of repeat styles and not many choices in my size. The site itself worked fine and was easy enough to use, but I think other customers might feel the same if they’re looking for more variety or specific sizes...

One of my dresses showed up late, though the other order arrived just fine. It wasn’t awful or anything, but I was already stressed because I’d left it a bit last minute, so the delay definitely didn’t help. Overall, not a bad experience, just a little unpredictable.

To be fair, I really like the idea of sustainable renting, and it’s nice to have an option that feels a bit more eco-friendly. But my experience with the app was clunky, and the prices still felt kind of high for what it was. I’m not totally sure I’d use it again unless the app gets smoother or the costs come down a bit.

I ordered a dress through By Rotation and, i was bracing myself for something to go slightly wrong because rentals can feel a bit dramatic before they even arrive. But thankfully, this one showed up perfectly fine. The packaging was clean, simple, and not ridiculously overdone, and the dress felt properly protected. No strange smells, no crushed box, no mystery chaos waiting inside, which is always my biggest fear with rented clothes. Returning it was really easy too because I could just reuse the same packaging without any fuss. It sounds like a small thing, but it made the whole experience feel so much smoother.

I kept getting shown the wrong sizes and a bunch of items I had already filtered out, which got annoying fast. On top of that, having to keep verifying myself over and over made the whole experience even more frustrating

I rented a dress sending it back was simple enough. The instructions were clear, and I didn’t have any issues with the return label, so I’m not sure what else they could’ve done there. My only small complaint is that the reminder could’ve come a bit earlier, but other than that, it was hassle-free

I had a small issue with my booking and didn’t expect it to be sorted that quickly. I messaged support and they got back to me fast, fixed the problem, and I didn’t have to go through loads of back and forth. It just made the whole process much easier and less stressful. I’d definitely use By Rotation again

I’ve used By Rotation a few times now and the communication with lenders has been good. Most people get back to you quickly and are really helpful with things like sizing or arranging pickup times. I did have one reply that took a bit longer than expected, but it wasn’t a big deal in the end and everything still worked out fine. Being able to message people directly definitely makes the whole renting process feel a lot less stressful. I’d give it 4 stars.

I’ve used By Rotation a couple of times and it’s been okay overall. Some rentals are genuinely good value, but others end up feeling a bit expensive once you add delivery and extra fees. It’s still cheaper than buying the item outright, but not always as cheap as I first expected. One thing that also bugs me is that it’s not always super clear who actually owns the item or who you’re really dealing with, which makes the whole process feel a bit less straightforward than it should.
